How did I get here?

Building relationships and analyzing data

Growing up in Dallas, Texas means you are driving a lot. All this time on the road gives way to thinking and processing. When I consider the world around me, I often think of it in terms of "How much?", "How many?", or "What about this?". These questions initially took me to the classroom, where I could learn side-by-side with my former students and guide them on their journey through math education, listening and learning, and building relationships.

Now, these same questions have taken me to data.

Embarking on this dynamic journey from the heart of education to the data-driven realm, I have learned and upskilled more than I ever imagined. After teaching numbers and patterns to students for 10+ years, my focus now is on finding the meaning of numbers and patterns within data and communicating that meaning with beautiful, comprehensible visualizations. My time in the classroom has taught me that building relationships is the key to success, and I am ready to continue listening. Taking the most pressing questions and answering them with data is what gets me going!
